Star Travel Protect Claim Process
The policy buyer needs to inform the claims assistance company in order to register a claim with the company.However, the following documents needs to be submitted while applying for a claim with the company:
Pharmacy invoices supported by respective prescriptions
In cases of accidents, Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) and / or FIR
Discharge summary
Other relevant documents
Documents other than the Health Card should be submitted in original.
In cases of an emergency, the policy buyer is required to intimate Star Health within 24 hours of the accident/ illness/ hospitalization. The required Intimation can be made either by calling at the specified toll free number at 1800 425 2255 or by contacting the nearest branch office of Star Health. The policy buyer has to mention the Star Health ID number or the Policy number for easy reference.
Star Travel Protect Exclusions
Any medical treatment, drugs or medicines, prescribed or applied, before the period of Insurance.
Any medical expenses incurred when the specific purpose of a journey is to receive medical treatment or advice.
Routine physical or other examination where there is no objective indication of impairment of normal health.
Medical expenses beyond the expiry of the Policy Period.
Experimental, unproven or non-standard treatment.
Delay of baggage when the intended destination is in India.
Loss/damage to the Insured's passport as a result of the confiscation/detention by customs, police or any other authority.
