  • Depreciation cover
    • Typically under standard comprehensive motor policy, in case of a claim, the insured receives an amount that is subject to depreciation. He/she therefore receives an amount lower than the actual repair expense. With Depreciation cover the insured receives the depreciation amount deducted on the value of the parts replaced. This is applicable for up to 2 admissible claims.
  • Hydrostatic Lock Cover
    • Driving or even parking your vehicle in a water-logged area can expose it to the risk of water entering its engine. In such a situation in case you even turn on the ignition key you can cause massive engine damage. Further, your insurance company is likely to consider this damage as a consequential loss and will not cover it. Hydrostatic lock cover covers damage to the engine on account of water entering it and is particularly useful in areas of high rainfall and frequent flooding.
  • No Claims Bonus Protector
    • You get a No-Claim Bonus (NCB) for every claim free year. This NCB slab increases for every claim free year and can go up to 50%. One single claim reduces your NCB to zero. NCB protector cover protects your NCB up to two claims during your policy period. It is particularly recommended for NCB accumulation of over 25%.
  • Roadside Assistance
    • A vehicle break down in the middle of nowhere can be very traumatic. Finding tow-away or a mechanic to help can be an exhausting ordeal. Roadside assistance cover provides assistance for on road repair relating to minor breakdowns, towing your car to the nearest garage, changing of a flat tyre, replacing lost keys and arranging for emergency fuel.

  • For Cashless and For Reimbursement claim : Intimate your claim
    Notify your claim by calling us at 1800-103-2292 (Toll free) or emailing us at claims@bharti-axagi.co.in. Our customer service center will register the claim and provide you the claim registration number for all future reference. For prompt registration and settlement of your claim, please provide the following information:
    • Your Contact number
    • Policy number / Cover note no. or Vehicle no., Chassis no and Engine no.
    • Date & Time of loss
    • Loss location
    • Nature & extent of loss
    • Nature of injury if any

Send your vehicle for repair find the nearest garages using our garages locator. Survey shall be conducted only at the workshop.

  • Kindly take your vehicle along with essential claim documents mentioned below:
    • Claim form duly filled in all aspects and signed by insured.
    • One self attested photocopy of R/C Book and original for verification and return.
    • One self attested photocopy of driver's license and original for verification and return.
    • FIR/ Charge sheet in case of major damage or third party property damage/ third party injury / death/theft of vehicle/ damage due to riot, strike and malicious act.
    • Satisfaction letter if you would like to avail cashless facility at our preferred garages. (Note:If you are a corporate/ firm then company's seal or rubber stamp is required on the satisfaction letter)
    • additional documents required can be called for on a case to case basis.
  • Claim Settlement
     For repair done at our cashless network
    • Our Surveyor will inspect your vehicle damage at the garage within 1 working day and give spot approval after assessment.
    • After completion of repair, vehicle will be released to you after your confirmation that the car is repaired to your satisfaction and obtaining a discharge.
    • If you have availed the services of any of our preferred garages / garages where we have a tie-up we will settle the claim directly with the garage. All that you need to pay is the amount that is not recoverable under the policy such as deductible / policy excess or payment for any non-accident related work / service.

Smartdrive Private Car Exclusions

  • Common wear and tear of the vehicle.
  • Loss or damage due to depreciation of vehicle.
  • Electrical & mechanical breakdown.
  • Loss or damage due to depreciation of vehicle.
  • Loss or damage incurred outside the geographical area of India.
  • Loss or damage caused when driving under intoxication.
  • Loss or damage caused by an unauthorized person without a valid driving license.
  • Loss or damage due to nuclear risks.
  • Vehicle being used otherwise than in accordance with restrictions as to use.
